Venus May Have Active Volcanoes As Per New NASA’s Study

A research done based on 30 years of data suggests that Venus may have active volcanoes as per new NASA’s study, and Venus surface is still today changing actively and, possibly because of molten material rising beneath its valuable crust.

This new data, based on 30 years of data collection, is opening a new angle of research while NASA’s old Magellan Mission has searched and revealed there are some possible signs of tectonic activity on the surface of Venus.

This new study is managed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and published in the Science Journal Advances. Scientists have clearly figured out the fact that scientists found coronae, a special round feature often found in places which are very hot, are buoyant material from the planet’s mantle that rises on the surface.

This research is now a bit surprising because, unlike Earth, Venus does not have tectonic plates.

This has been orbiting Venus since the 1990’s and this 30-year-old research found how our views about Venus have changed after searching for the necessary features that shocked the entire world.

AT NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, the assistant research director of this study, done by lead author Gael Cascioli, when the planet, our mother Earth, was young, coronae may have been there, but they are not found on Earth now, even before plate tectonics were established.

With the use of technology, scientists are now able to find what’s there and going on beneath the surface, with the help of using both gravity data and even topography data and this data even helped us by giving data about the ever changing surface of the hot planet.

There is also another interesting fact that Titan also has Earth-like weather, as per scientists’ new study, and it’s important to analyze our precious solar system.

Anna Gulcher an amazing scientist at the Gern Scientist on Earth, and Planetary, and even the co-author of this important, precious study, also said that coronea is present in Venus and has large features and multiple people around the world till date, gave various theories regarding the same.

Even though the current images of Venus taken by our research carried out from Earth show signs of volcanic activity, but there is still not much information available on how the coronea was formed.

NASA’s reports said that they are coming up with the VERITAS mission to know in detail about this topic and to know more. This VERITAS system will be using advanced tools, and radar system, a radio system, and a near-infrared tool too.

Conclusion On Venus May Have Active Volcanoes As Per New NASA's Study

There is so much interest in space science and astronomy around the world, and scientists are trying their best to make sure that we are able to discover and know more about our solar system in detail, which is why we are also studying Venus in detail.

Earth is a fascinating planet, but Venus is claimed to like Earth exactly billions of years ago, Venus is an important planet for us to consider further research, we are doing and experimenting the same with planet Mars, next to our mother Earth and we are sure we will find some more interesting information in the nearby future.

Our world is changing, but as we improve with our technology, we must focus on extensive, precise research to help humanity in the long run, thanks to all scientists.
